How the TA feedback has influenced our video

When we typed out our initial shot list, we kept in mind that the TA said that they would like to see half and half of the artist singing in a music video so that is what we have tried to do. We have based some of our costume ideas around the answers from our male audience saying they would be more likely to watch a music video if the artist was looking voyeuristic. This links to Mulvey's theory of "the male gaze". She will have makeup and hair done up throughout most of the video. We got mixed answers about whether they wanted the visuals to match the lyrics or whether they like to think more about the meaning. With this in mind, we've kept some shots to match the lyrics and we've also incorporated the idea that the different coloured powder paint might represent the different emotions the artist is feeling. The audience will be able to interpret different parts of the video in their own way.
