This is the final CD that will go in our digipak.

GROUP POST - Merchandise (Clothing)

These are two different designs of t-shirt we could include as part of Morgan's promotion package. By giving fans the opportunity to buy clothing with her name on, not only will it produce more money but also make Morgan more well known. Clothing and other merchandising products would be sold on her website. On the designs we have tried to keep the colours and fonts synergetic with the video and digipak.

We have added the digipak cover to our advert to create synergy between the two products. We also changed her name from black to white so it matches the digipak cover. All of her social networking links have also been added because our target audience are very internet based - hence mentioning iTunes too. The colours behind her on this advert and the CD are stills from the actual music video in the powder paint fight so we have created synergy between the video and ancillary products which helps to build up her star image and promote the album.

We have developed our second idea further and incorporated ideas from the first idea too. We changed the red lipstick smudge to pink so it would fit in with the pink powder paint on her face.

This is the second draft for the digipak, as you can see we changed the background of the track listing to powder paint, and put a banner of photographs on it because digipaks conventionally have a lot of photographs in them. We have used the same powder paints behind the lyrics so it all flows together, we still need to sort the front cover out.

This is our first draft for the digipak. We have tried to stick to our plan (See previous post) but a few bits have been changed, like having a picture behind the writing. I think that the front cover needs to be changed because it is her debut album, the audience are unable to see her eyes which makes them less engaged to it. I also think that the picture behind the track list is too much.

GROUP POST - Planning the digipak

I have done the first very very rough copy of an idea for the digipak.
On the front cover of the cd this was one idea. We could get a shot similar to the one I got last year (see screenshot below) only more recent and hopefully better quality now that I have developed my photography skills.

And we were thinking that one look that is quite new and fresh is the look of having the artist's name printed across their eyes which I like because it could have so many different connotations. To show a more professional idea of what I mean I have managed to find another photo similar.

This is a photo by Troye Sivan which sprang to mind when this idea came into my head. I think we will take a different look on this but it will still be inspired by this look.








We are following conventions on the back cover by including a track list. I made up some song titles just for this draft so they may change when I discuss it with Abbie and Alisha. I also thought we could have a banner along the top with more shots of Morgan on set.
Then on the inside we would have the lyrics to Little Black Dress because that's the headlining track. Again, I think it could look quite effective having a banner with photos of Morgan but I will have to discuss these ideas with my group.
We need to do a photo-shoot to get photos for the digipak.
On the side that the CD goes on one idea is that we could include a red lip stain on a black background as this links to the lyrics of Little Black Dress and it is feminine but also fits the indie-pop genre.

GROUP POST - Advert idea 2

This is another advert draft we made. It is very simplistic and the cutting out hasn't been done very carefully. We like the idea of the powder paint shot from the music video behind her is this is likely to be used in our final advert. The colours all compliment each other and they create synergy with the music video which would make people more likely to purchase the album.

This is our first draft of an advert for our new star. It is very basic at this point but it is the rough idea of what we are going to do for our final advert.

This is the first hand drawn draft of a promotional advert that would be in another magazine. We are going to copy this onto Adobe Elements 11 with a photo of Morgan.
